SUMMARY

Chiachung Chen has over 20 years consulting experience in the master plan of Integrated Agricultural System and 30 years designing experience in agricultural facilities. Extensive experience with mechanization and automation of crops production, improvement of the processing equipment of biological materials, design of the tropical and subtropical greenhouse, mass production of vegetables and herbs, and master plan of plant micropropagation laboratory. He has the rich experience to perform the master plan of agricultural production in many countries.

He was previously the head of Department of Bio-industrial Mechatronics Engineering, National Chung Hsing University, Consult of Ministry of Science and Technology, Executive Yuan, Taiwan and the head of Taiwan Commercial Orchid School. Now, he served as the director of the Africa Research Center, National Chung Hsing University and the leader of the Eswatini Sustainable Aqua-economic Development Authority (ESASA).

In recent years, the main task is to combine agricultural modernization, industrialization, medical industry and education to promote the overall development of a state or country.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Dr. Chen developed and design the tropical and subtropical greenhouse. It can resist the impact of Typhoon and maintain enough ventilation. The content design of greenhouse facilities included three-types of orchid greenhouse for Phalaenopsis, Oncidium and Catelyn orchids. He developed special Quarantine greenhouse and Biosafety greenhouse used in high temperature weather. He design three levels of vegetable production greenhouse for leafy vegetables, fruits vegetables and seedlings. He extended net-house for fruit tree production in insect-protected conditions.

The design of agricultural facilities of his experience included master plan of the orchid production, vegetables production sites, plant tissue culture laboratory, mushroom production, herbs production, livestock production and site planning, and aquaculture production and site planning.

He has adequate experience about the development of the biomedical equipment. He has developed the perspiration measuring system, infrared tympanic thermometers, sphygmography and breath analyzer.

The key techniques to create the sustainable integrated agriculture system are “the output of one system is to be the input source of other systems” and “No waste! Less pollution! Sustainable production”.

Comprehensive planning of the main task is to combine agricultural modernization, industrialization, medical industry and education to promote the overall development of the country. This plan has its short-range, medium-range and long-range projects, emphasizing the sequential development of economic development, environmental protection and talent cultivation
